Hi I’m Sheena
I built Funktional Kinections out of a deep love for my son john, the human body and people. I built this space because I couldn’t find one that felt right — for my son, for myself, or for families like ours. And if I couldn’t find it, I figured other people probably couldn’t either. So I dreamed up something different and wanted to share it with people like you.
For nearly 20 years, I’ve dedicated my life to studying how the human body works — from the muscles of the face to the tips of the toes. I’ve seen how small, foundational habits can either support us or slowly work against us and I believe all movement is good movement — no matter what stage of life you’re in. It’s about taking care of the whole body, inside and out.
This space isn’t just for people with limitations, and it’s not just for athletes either. It’s for anyone who has ever felt unsure, overwhelmed, or out of place in a typical gym. It’s for caregivers who rarely get an hour to themselves. It’s for beginners. It’s for families. It’s for real people living real life.
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about support. It’s about learning how to move, building confidence, and creating habits that carry beyond the gym walls.
What we offer
At Funktional Kinections, we offer a range of fitness and wellness services designed to support every body whether you’re starting your journey, rebuilding strength, or looking to enhance everyday movement.
Community Kinections is our heart-centered approach to building genuine connections beyond the workout. Through events, workshops, neighborhood gatherings, and outings at local restaurants, we create opportunities for people to come together, support one another, and feel part of something bigger. Our humble beginnings are just the start. With community support and growing demand, Funktional Kinections will continue to evolve with upgraded equipment and expanded training options.
